Testhouse was invited to play an integral role in the recent launch of Microsoft Visual Studio 2013, at Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa, Dubai. Organised by Microsoft Gulf and MEA (Middle East and Africa), the full day event had over 200 companies from Gulf (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain), Saudi Arabia and Egypt, being represented by their senior level executives.

During his session on “Agile Testing through Quality Enablement”, Jihad Dannawi from Microsoft invited the CEO of Testhouse Middle East and India – Vijay Kumar and the Vice President for Architecture and Control from Emirates NBD – Divakar Kini, to join him on stage. He then requested BBG Chennai Member, Vijay and Divakar to share their recent engagement experience, with the select audience. Divakar explained the challenge faced by the bank, where it was becoming increasingly unviable to solely pursue manual testing each time there were any updates in their Finacle Core Banking application. The earlier attempts at automation using other tools had not met with the desired result. Giving details of how Testhouse managed the requirement, Vijay explained how they successfully build regression packs for automation using Visual Studio and also shared details of how the same tool was used further to do Performance testing on a Siebel CRM application at the bank. Details of this engagement by Testhouse has been documented by Microsoft in a case study, which can be accessed at http://www.microsoft.com/casestudies/Case_Study_Detail.aspx?CaseStudyID=710000003467
