Well attended 5th meeting of Cochin Chapter with 25 attendees took place with Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry presenting their history into 158 years and services to exporters and local industry. Mr Venugopal of Harrisons Malayalam took audience through long build-up of what was a very British Chamber into today’s robust local Indian Chamber with seminars and delegations
Earlier David Yates, BBG Co-ordinator welcomed all members and guests and invited Christie Cherian, Chairman BBG Chennai to say a few words on BBG matters and forthcoming events and activities in Chennai. Chennai just hosted annual BBG Heads Meet from other cities on BBG centric matters. Christie also spoke of largest International Festival for Business 2016 (IFB16) to be held in Liverpool 13-30June2016
V J Mathew kindly also spoke presenting his firms services in the maritime legal space. This was David Yates last meeting as he
leaves Kochi end-March for Tel Aviv Metro – we him all success in his new assignment! Meeting was followed by usual fellowship
an dinner.
